Distance Education Students who wish to receive academic adjustments and/or auxiliary aids from the Office of Disability Services (ODS) can review the ODS guidelines webpage, request disability services’ information via email, or call 713-226-5227.
Once your disability documentation is received and reviewed, someone from the Office of Disability Services will contact you to via email or phone to schedule an appointment/interview.
Note: Accommodations may not be provided if appropriate documentation is not received in a timely manner. The Office of Disability Service may contact you to request additional information.
Students, who are not able to meet face-to-face with a disability service representative, will be given alternative options (video or phone conference). During the appointment, reasonable accommodations will be discussed. The UHD Academic Adjustments Auxiliary Policy will also be reviewed during the appointment.
Note: If you are a returning student, to request accommodations for this current semester, please complete the Accommodation Request Form and return it to Disability Services.
