UHD Parking Garage Construction

On Saturday, July 20, 2013 the existing Faculty/Staff Garage at One Main Building was taken out of service in an effort to make way for a more attractive, welcoming and state-of-the-art entrance for our ever-expanding list of guests, visitors and prospective students. A new Faculty/Staff Garage project is underway for completion in the fall of 2014 in the same location.

This website will provide regularly updated information on the project's progress.

Parking Change – Replacement Lot B

After six weeks of usage, it has been determined that there is sufficient capacity at Faculty/ Staff Replacement Lot B to expand access to students displaying a current UHD parking permit/hangtag. Replacement Lot B is located adjacent to the Shea Street Building on the north side of Naylor Street (see map).

Effective immediately Replacement Lot B is available to faculty, staff and students who have purchased an FY2014 parking permit of any type. The signage at the lot has been modified to reflect this change.

Parking Locations

  • Faculty only: Wood Street lot and Naylor Street Garage
  • Shea Street Building Staff: Naylor Street Garage
  • Commerce Street Building Faculty and Staff: Washington Street lot
  • One Main Building Staff: Replacement Lots A and B
  • Students: Vine Street Garage and Replacement Lot B

* All Staff and Faculty unable to find parking in their designated lots can find parking in one of the replacement lots.

Handicap Parking Options

Effective July 20, 17 parking spaces for the disabled will be relocated to the visitor's level (ground level) of the Academic Building Garage.

As a result, the number of visitor's parking spaces will be reduced to 25. It will be important to make parking arrangements early in the planning process for campus events and activities.
