Classroom Information

ITV classes also originate from an electronic presentation classrooms located in the TTLC. Instructors operate an AMX control panel with provides access to multiple instructional resources which can be viewed in the classroom and sent via the compressed video network to an off-campus receiving site.

Each room is equipped with 3 tracking video cameras, an LCD video projector, an electronic white board, 3-27inch color monitors. Student microphones and an instructor presentation desk with an AMX control system, pc computer with internet connection and a document camera. Rooms A715 and A717 are equipped with student computers and a laser printer.

The ITV studio and the electronic presentation classrooms are link to a university central distribution hub or MDF. The university has 4 codec units for transmission and reception of signals on the IP/Compressed Video Network. These units form the backbone for both distance learning classes and video conferencing. The university is linked to the UH System Compressed Video Network.
