When an ITV class originates from the University of Houston-Downtown campus, ITV staff will not unlock the ITV classroom door until the ITV instructor arrives. In this case "originating" means that the ITV instructor is physically present and/or teaching from an ITV classroom on the UHD campus. If desired, an ITV instructor may request an alternative agreement plan for unlocking an ITV classroom on special occasions, otherwise the aforementioned policy is the default.

When an ITV class originates from another site, such as UH-Cinco Ranch, UH-Sugar Land, or the University Center at the Woodlands, an ITV staff member will unlock the ITV classroom approximately 3-5 minutes before the beginning of the class.
