Information Technology started upgrading
the existing workstation equipment (hardware and standard software package)
for all departmental-based, state-fund-eligible electronic labs and classrooms
in 2002. This project, which allows for systematic and coordinated
upgrades of workstations, is based on a 3-year rotation funding formula.
A set of application standards has been adopted and is provided to all
labs (e.g. Windows XP Professional, Microsoft Office Professional, McAfee
VirusScan). In addition, network printers are provided for computer lab.
