Pcounter is a fee-based printing service. It enables you to use any ACL computer (computer labs S800, C300 and B200 and their associated classrooms; TTLC A700 classrooms) and the library computers to print documents to monochrome or color laser printers.
To use Pcounter you must have an Academic (student) network account, which is available to you with your paid registration each semester.
Using Pcounter
After you “print” the item you want to print, you will see a window on your computer screen that asks for your username and password. After entering that information, click Print and your item will print.
Fees for printing
Each UHD student is allocated 500 pages for black-and-white printing in the computer labs, library, and e-classrooms. Print account funds will be calculated at $25.00 for each semester. This is a free print quota allocated for each enrolled student.
Black-and-white printing costs $.05 per page. Duplex (two-sided) printing is available in S800 and C300. The cost for duplex printing is $.07 per sheet. Color printing is available in S800, C300 and B200, and costs $1.00 per page.
Once your initial print account free quota allotment is depleted, you can purchase additional printing. Contact a lab assistant for information on how to purchase additional printing.
Wireless printing
Students can print to designated printers in S800, C300 and B200 from UHD’s wireless network using a user friendly, web-based system at www.uhd.edu/printwireless. For detailed instructions on how to use the wireless printing system, please see Wireless Printing Instructions.
