Telnet access allows users with LINUX accounts to connect to their accounts from remote locations.
Telnet is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Relevant setup information is as follows:

Telnet address or host name: gator.dt.uh.edu
Terminal Type: Type VT100

The Academic Computing Lab's dial-up number for modem access is: (713) 422-8111.
The Department of Academic Computing has 20 dial-up lines. These lines allow users with LINUX accounts to connect to their accounts from remote locations. They are available 24 hours per day, 7days per week. Relevant setup information is as follows:
