The University of Houston-Downtown Police Department is committed to this, our customer service process:

In Service to the University of Houston-Downtown students, faculty, staff, visitors and surrounding community, we are committed to fair and impartial enforcement of State and Federal Laws and the penal provisions of the Texas Education Code; prevention of crime, vigorous pursuit of offenders; compassionate assistance of crime victims and individual involvement in the success of students, faculty, staff in their academic and workday endeavors.

We will regard students, faculty, staff, visitors and surrounding community as customers of our service process.

We will respond to requests for assistance as quickly as possible in a patient, caring, courteous manner.

We will treat customers with respect, dignity and compassion.

We will do whatever it takes to correct any situation that does not meet our customers satisfaction.

We will respond to well founded criticism with an eagerness to change for success.
