How can I find an on-campus job?
Student positions and permanent full-time on-campus jobs are posted on the UHD Employment Services & Operations website. Another option is to visit any departments that you are interested in working for and inquiring about open student positions.

What is my password for eRecruiting (for students)?
Your password for eRecruiting is the last four digits of your student ID number. If you have any problems please call us at 713-221-8980.

What is the website address for eRecruiting?
The URL is http://uhd.erecruiting.com

Is it mandatory that I upload my resume onto eRecruiting?
No, but it is highly recommended because you may miss out on job opportunities, and is required for participation in on-campus recruiting events and the Field Experience program.

When is the next Career Expo?
Career Services hosts two career expos on campus; one in the Fall and one in the Spring. For exact dates you should visit the Career Expo page.

How do I get an on-campus interview?
You have to register to use eRecruiting, and apply for positions that have interviews schedules attached. Some employers will have open schedules, but most will choose to pre-select the interview candidates.  The employer updates the status of your application, then you can choose an interview time.  After applying for the position, you will be notified by an eRecruiting email, or by logging into the system.

How do I apply for Field Experience and what are the requirements for applying?

I am not a student at UHD; may I still register and/or use your services?
Our services are only for the use of our currently enrolled UHD students and graduates from UHD.

When are career counselors available? How can I meet with a career counselor?
Career counselors are available for consultation during our regular business hours by appointment. Please call or come by to schedule an appointment.

How do I register with UHD Career Services?
You do not have to register to use our services. You only have to register to use eRecruiting.

What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday - Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Our resource center closes 30 minutes before we close the office. Please visit our contact page for additional information.

Employers

I have already registered with UHD Career Services and have posted jobs before, but now I want to add a new job posting, what do I do?
You simply log into the eRecruiting web site and add the new job posting. Please go to http://www.erecruitingnetwork.com. You may also post a job with us by completing a downloadable Job Listing Form and emailing it to us at uhdcareer@uhd.edu.

I have not registered with UHD Career Services but would like to post a job. What do I do?
Go to the eRecruiting website at http://www.erecruitingnetwork.com. Once you are registered with them, we'll give you access. You will be able to go into the e-Recuriting site and log-in where you will be able to post the job. You may also post a job by completing the Job Listing Form and faxing it to us at 713-221-8076 or by emailing it.

Do you have a resume database?
Yes, eRecruiting is our resume database. You may call to request resumes or register to review the database electronically.

How do you establish off-campus/on-campus recruiting?
You will need to call our office and speak with one of our Career Counselors who will give you information.

Can I set up a table at the Career Expo? What is the cost?
Please visit our Career Expo page for detailed information.

I want to post an internship. What do I do?
Post it on eRecruiting as an internship. We will also include it in our internship binder. You may also fax it (713-221-8076) or email it to our office. Please include contact name, business address, and phone number.

How can I increase my visibility on campus?
In addition to the Career Expo, you can present to student organizations, and offer to perform mock interviews or resume reviews for students. Please call the office to speak with a counselor about these possibilities.

I'm interested in getting on the Career Services Advisory Boards. What do I need to do?
You will need to call or email us and inform us of your interest. We will contact you and provide you with all the needed information.

How do I set up a visit to your office?
Please call us and we will schedule an appointment for you.

Where do I park?
You have several options:
Downtown Houston Employers: the best solution for you if you do not have much to carry is to take the MetroRail.
Other Employers: Take downtown's Travis Street North. At the point where it becomes the 45-North entrance ramp, turn right into campus. The Visitor's Parking Garage is immediately to your right, and metered parking immediately to your left. On the other side of campus (Main Street) is more metered parking (rates vary).

What are the parking rates?
$5.00 in the Visitor's Parking Garage.

Do we validate parking?
Please call prior to your arrival date at UHD to determine if we will be able to validate or reserve a parking spot for you in the Visitor's Parking Garage. Depending on whether or not the garage is reserved, we may be able to validate your parking.
