LULAC at UHD was started in January of 2002. The ideals of the organization as well as its local and national networks brought to campus a needed system of support for young Hispanic students. In just a year of existence our membership has grown from an initial ten members to forty-three. The council offers students an opportunity to get involved in the community and on-campus in various forms as well exposes them to different scholarship and employment opportunities.
