RELAY FOR LIFE

WHO: Anyone willing to commit to planning or forming a walk team.
WHAT: Relay For Life
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a fun-filled, overnight event that mobilizes communities throughout the country to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones, and raise money for the fight against cancer. Teams of eight to 12 members gather with tents and sleeping bags to participate in the largest fundraising walk in the nation. A highlight of the Relay is the luminaria ceremony to remember those who lost their battle with cancer and to honor cancer survivors.

The Relay reinforces the message that more and more people are surviving cancer. Today, one out of two patients diagnosed with cancer survives. This is tremendous progress, made possible in part by Relay For Life funds.
