Library Campaign

Renovation and expansion of the W. I. Dykes Library is under way. First built to serve 4,000 students, the 34-year-old library is now serving 12,000. The library's original 59,000 square feet of space represents only 55 percent of the 107,000 square feet the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board projects UHD will need to serve its students and faculty in the coming years.

Once the $3.5 million renovation project is completed, the W. I. Dykes Library will offer group study spaces, multi-media presentation rooms, instruction rooms and an internet café.

Would you like to help fund the W. I. Dykes Library renovation project? Please contact a development officer.
