THE UHD TRANSFER PROCESS

At UHD, your success is our priority! We’ve outlined the steps in our transfer process below so that you’ll know exactly what to do and what to expect as you transition to UHD.

Submit a UHD undergraduate application for admission online
Apply using the Online Application for admission.
Pay the non-refundable application fee online at the time of application (or by mail/in-person at a later date).
• The Fall application fee is $35. Deadline is August 1st.
• The Fall late application fee is $75. Late applications deadline is August 15th.
NOTE: All required information must be received prior to admission, evaluation of transfer credit and registration.

Admission Requirements
If you have more than 15 college-level credits from a regionally accredited school, you qualify for admission to UHD as a transfer student. (If you have less than 15 college-level credits, please apply for freshman transfer admission.) There is no minimum GPA requirement for transfer admission. For information on international student requirements, please visit the International Admissions website.
Official college transcripts – In order to transfer to UHD you must submit to the Office of Admissions official transcripts from all colleges/universities previously attended, regardless of coursework or performance. A transcript is considered official when it:

bears the institution’s seal
is signed by the issuing authority
is sent directly by the issuing institution or delivered in the institution’s sealed envelope
If you attended a college or university outside the United States, your transcript(s) must be evaluated by an evaluation service recognized by UHD. Click here for a list of suggested credential evaluation services

Get Accepted
Once you submit your application for admission, we will mail you a letter within 4-7 business days informing you of the status of your application, your assigned student ID number and PIN. Using this information, you can log on to student
e-services
24 hours a day to check your admission status.
You will also receive your own UHD GatorMail e-mail account. We will use this account to keep you updated on the status of your application. This will also be your primary means of university communication as a UHD student.
Your application will be reviewed when we have received all materials (the application, the fee, and all transcripts). You’ll be notified via GatorMail when you’ve been accepted.

Get Advised
After you are accepted, you will see an Academic Advisor. Advising is done on a walk-in basis, so you don’t need an appointment!
Your advisor will determine your TSI status and assist you with course selection.
If you are TSI-exempt, or if you have completed TSI at another institution, be sure that you provide the Office of Admissions with official documentation.
If you have not previously attended a public college/university in Texas, your TSI status will be determined when you see your advisor.

Get Registered
If you’ve been accepted and advised, you’re ready to register for classes! You can register online through e-services when it’s convenient for you.
Once you’ve registered for classes, be sure to make payment or payment arrangements before the payment deadline.

Get Your Degree!
Enjoy your classes. Our faculty, advisors, and support staff are here to help you learn and be successful.
  Become a UHD graduate!
