TRANSFERING CREDIT FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How many credits can I transfer to UHD?
You may transfer up to 66 hours of coursework from community colleges towards your degree. There is no limit on transfer of coursework from 4-year institutions. However, you must complete 30 hours of coursework at UHD in order to receive a degree from the university.

How will I know if my credits will transfer to UHD before I apply?
The UHD Transfer Equivalences website lists course equivalencies from several colleges and universities in Texas. An official transcript evaluation will be completed during your first semester at UHD.

If you are ready to declare your major once you enter UHD, you can meet with a staff member in the Transfer Center for an unofficial evaluation of your transcripts. However, as this is an unofficial transcript evaluation, it is subject to change once you have your official academic advising meeting before you can register for classes.

When can I meet with an advisor?
You are eligible to meet with an academic advisor once you have been admitted to UHD. You can also check your eligibility to see an academic advisor on student e-services. Once you log in to student e-services, select the appropriate semester for which you applied. Then print out your enrollment status form and follow the listed instructions.
