ORIENTATION REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Enrollment in each orientation program is on a first come first serve basis so be sure to register as early as possible. Complete the online registration form online indicating your top three date choices. Be sure to select three choices; in the event your first choice is full, you will be placed in your next available choice. Complete the form and pay your orientation fees. Please be advised that registration for all orientation programs close two weeks prior to it’s scheduled date. Walk-ins are not accepted!

It takes one business day to process your registration form. Once we verify your admissions status and process your form, a confirmation letter with your approved date choice will be mailed to the address indicated on your registration form (confirmations are not mailed to “non-accepted” students and students with incomplete registration forms). Processing usually takes 5-7 business days.

DISABILITY ACCOMMODATIONS
Disabled Student Services assists students with placement testing, priority registration, as well as scheduling, academic advising, counseling and academic accommodations. If you are in need of disability accommodations during your orientation, please contact Disabled Student Services at 713-226-5227 or New Student Orientation at least one week prior to your orientation program.

ORIENTATION FEES AND PAYMENT
The fee for transfer orientation is $25.00 (non-refundable) and is required in addition to your tuition and fees. The orientation fee cover breakfast and all orientation materials. You may pay your fee with a personal credit/debit card, cash, or money order. Make payments payable to UHD (include name and UHD-ID number). No personal checks will be accepted.

Payment Options: You can pay in person in the Office of Admissions (325-North) or must pay the morning of your orientation program. No payments are accepted by mail.

Rescheduling Information
If you need to reschedule your orientation date, contact New Student Orientation by phone or e-mail for assistance with rescheduling. A new confirmation will be mailed to you in 5-7 business days. Please be advised that you are required to pay a $15 rescheduling fee on the day of your newly scheduled orientation program.

Cancellation Policy
All transfer students that fail to cancel or attend their scheduled orientation program will be charged a $15 cancellation fee. If you are unable to attend your scheduled orientation program, please contact New Student Orientation by phone or e-mail seven business days prior to your scheduled orientation date.
