| Scholarship information is divided in three sections: |

Institutional Scholarships include, but are not limited to: New Freshman Scholarship, New Transfer Scholarship, UHD Full-Time Student Scholarship, Deans Scholarship, and Red Rose Leadership Scholarship. These programs are funded by several methods, including outside private donations. |

Departmental Scholarships are selected at the department levels, but the actual student awarding and administration is handled within the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships. |

Private & External Scholarships include programs which flow through our process. These programs are also selected by outside mechanisms, but are ultimately included in the financial aid/scholarship process. Scholarships awarded by organizations outside UHD will be disbursed according to guidelines provided by the donor organization. |

| Once scholarships awards have been disbursed to your student account, it will be available for credit towards your tuition and fee bill. If you are awarded funds in excess of your tuition and fee bill, a credit will apply to your Higher One card or a check will be mailed to your home address by the UHD Student Accounting Office. |
