Applying
for Financial Aid
Listed below are the basic steps you need to complete to be
considered for aid at UHD.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
You can do the paper application or do it online at
www.fafsa.ed.gov . Be sure to list the UHD school code in Step 6.
Our Title IV school code is 003612.
When your FAFSA is processed, the OSFA will receive your Student Aid
Report (SAR) data electronically. It is not necessary to turn in your
paper Student Aid Report. We need the electronic document (called the
"ISIR"), so if you did not initially list UHD, you may add
our code by calling 800-433-3243. We should receive your ISIR in approximately
two weeks.
- Apply for admission and be admitted as
a regular student to UHD – Most
financial aid is limited, so we will not award you any aid until you
have admitted to UHD. Students admitted as "Transient"
are not eligible for financial aid at UHD.
- Post-baccalaureate students must provide
the PB
Certification Form and a copy of your degree plan
showing number of the hours remaining to
earn your degree or certification.
In addition, if you are a transfer student
you must provide to the Admissions and Records Office copies of academic
transcripts from all other colleges or universities attended. The OSFA
cannot process your application until all required transcripts have been
received.
These represent the MINIMUM
application requirements. You'll need to provide more information
if your application is selected for verification.
