What has been your favorite/best UHD experience so far? : I transferred from a big school in California. So I expected that, like my experience at my last school, I’d come here and get lost in the crowd--just another student ID number.  But my time here at UHD has been nothing like that.  Through my participation with UHD Ambassador Leaders and other organizations, I’ve met students and professors who I fully expect to consider my friends long after I’ve graduated!  Making new friends and sharing our lives, goals, dreams & experiences with each other; that has been my favorite UHD experience by far.

What advice would you give to prospective students? : Get involved!  Being at university can be so much more than just studying and going to class.  Studies show that students who get involved in collegiate organizations are more likely to succeed academically than those who do not.  And student organizations can help you on your way to graduation and better prepare you for whatever it is that you choose to do after graduation. Networking with university, civic, and government leaders through these organizations has afforded me so many opportunities that I wouldn’t have even known about if I weren’t involved.
