No, there is no up front fee for the UH-Downtown transcript. Each semester you pay a Records Office fee as part of your tuition. This fee pays for transcripts, class schedules, and catalogs. |

No, once you submit documents to the university, they become the property of the university. |

| What information about students is public and what is private? |
| |
At its discretion, UHD may provide directory information to the general public without student consent. Directory information is defined by FERPA as follows: name, address, telephone number, email address, date and place of birth, dates of attendance, most recent previous educational institutions attended, major and minor fields of study, degree/awards received, and participation in officially recognized activities.
Private information such as student’s GPA, specific courses, taken, grades, social security number, and academic status is not released without written consent from the student.
You may request that your directory information be considered confidential, at which point no information directory or private information can be released. To make this request you must visit the Registrar's Office. |

Once your official scores have been received directly from The College Board, your scores will be evaluated according to UH-Downtown’s credit by examination policies. When you have an academic history with UHD, it will take approximately two weeks to post your credit. |
