Distance Learning | University of Houston - Downtown
Is Distance Education for Me?

The distance learning student should be an independent, motivated, and flexible individual.
Online students are required to have Internet access and to be able to use a web browser. We strongly recommend that you have your own computer rather than relying on computers at office/public sites that may not be available to you on nights and weekends.

Students who participate in an online orientation prior to taking an online class are more likely to succeed in their learning experience. The orientation should take anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour to complete depending on your comfort using the internet. It is best to complete the orientation prior to enrolling in an online course.
