The Learners' Community targets randomly selected first-time-in-college students, Project Grad students, and Davis High School graduates entering UHD as El Paso Scholars. These first-semester college students enroll in a section of the College Success Program (CSP) 110C course taught out of University College, the home college of all undeclared majors at UHD. Since Fall 1998, University College has actively recruited first-year students into CSP 110C and tailored the curriculum to introduce freshmen to the protocols and rituals of university life, in the hope of enhancing their persistence and academic success.
