Thank you for your interest in Gator Leadership Experience!
GLE is a cohort of 30 highly selective students who have completed 1 of 5 designated College Success Program courses by the end of Fall 2011. If you are currently enrolled in CSP 1101/ CSP 110W, you are eligible to apply for Gator Leadership Experience.
Through GLE you will
- Be presented with a number of invaluable skills and relationships.
- Explore academic and career goals.
- Develop a deeper understanding of personal and civic responsibilities.
- Connect with the UHD community.
- Cultivate influential leadership and team building skills.
- Learn the benefits of campus involvement.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must have completed CSP 1101 or CSP 110W in Fall 2012.
- Have a UHD GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- One letter of recommendation from UHD faculty or staff.

GLE Leadership Conference

The GLE: Leadership Conference is intended to build a foundation of leadership for students involved in the College Success Program (CSP). This one-day conference is an energizing and educational experience designed to develop student leaders at UHD. This unique opportunity brings together students from the various CSP courses to focus on leadership, networking and collaboration.
The goals of this conference are for you to
- Engage in individual skill building and reflection.
- Network with other student leaders.
- Recognize the elements essential in leadership.
The Essentials
- Check-in and breakfast begin at 8:00am at the UHD Wilhelmina Auditorium.
- Dress is casual (we’ll be inside all day).
- You don’t need to bring anything; we will provide all the materials you need.
- Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided (Contact us at least one week prior to the event if you need any special accommodations).
Do I have to apply if I'm enrolled in CSP 1101 or CSP 110W?
No. It is not required but highly encouraged.
Will I be given a scholarship if I am selected into GLE?
If selected into GLE, you will be given a book stipend along with a distinctive shirt that will distinguish you as part of a GLE.
What is the time commitment for GLE?
If selected into GLE, you will be required to attend bi-weekly sessions.
The time and date for session will be posted on the GLE calendar.
When will I find out if I have been selected for GLE?
About a week and a half after the deadline to receive a response via the email you provided in your application.
