JoAnn Pavletich, Associate Professor
College of Humanities & Social Science
Your family may not always understand what you have to do to be successful in college. You may feel torn sometimes between a family event and your homework. You may need to teach your family how to be supportive. And they may not always be good students! Sometimes you may need to make difficult decisions that prioritize your studies. However, getting a degree does not take a lifetime. It does take a whole lot of focused work over a few years. But at the end, your family will be amazingly proud of you, and you will have learned more about them than you could have ever imagined.
