MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO DECLARE A MAJOR

• Current enrollment at UHD
• Satisfactory completion of TSI
• A minimum of 30 College-level hours
• 2.0 GPA minimum
• Current transcripts on file in Admissions office
• No holds

-Additional requirements for each program-

College of Business

C or better in Math 1301
For UHD & transfer students with a 2.5 GPA or higher, completion of the General Education Core (42 hrs.)

College of Public Service

Criminal Justice

GPA of 2.0 or above
Credit or enrollment in Math 1301 or higher
Credit or enrollment in ENG 1301 or higher

Urban Education

Completion of Eng 1301 & 1302.
Completion of Math 1301/1310
GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Passage of all three parts of the THEA exam: Math (230), Reading (230), & Writing (220).

College of Humanities & Social Sciences

Completion of Math 1301 or higher
Completion of ENG 1302

College of Sciences & Technology

C or better in Math 1301 or higher
GPA of a 2.0 or above and completion of 30-credit hrs.
Requires Completion of ENG 1302

If you receive an error message, email: declareyourmajor@uhd.edu
      Include the following in your email: Name, Birth date, and Intended Major.

For all Business majors who receive an error message, you will receive an email from the       College of Business regarding the error message in your UHD Gatormail in 3-4 weeks.

If you have unevaluated transcripts, please fill out the online Transcript Evaluation Request Form.
