The Academic Advising Center works with undergraduate students one-on-one from the time of their initial enrollment until they declare their major. In the Academic Support Center, all UHD students can find individualized tutoring by faculty and trained peers in writing, reading, and mathematics. Tutors are also available for statistics. Disability Services ensures that all eligible students receive the appropriate accommodations and have access to specialized testing opportunities. Upward Bound and Talent Search are two federally funded pre-collegiate programs. They focus on students in the Aldine and Houston Independent School Districts.
