Applications are accepted year-round. For priority consideration, apply 60 days before the start of the fall/spring semester. All college transcripts should be submitted to UHD Scholars Academy for review in addition to the UHD Admissions Office.
General Scholarship Requirements
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) in college within last 4-5 years
- Be enrolled at UHD as a full-time student and a member of the Scholars Academy
- Declare your major within one of the following departments at UHD: Computer and Mathematical Sciences (CMS); Engineering Technology; or Natural Sciences
- Most scholarships require U.S. citizenship or permanent residency; internationals are still invited to apply

Acceptance for UHD Admissions will be required upon acceptance into the Scholars Academy. To apply for UHD admissions, go to www.applytexas.org and create an "ApplyTexas" account. After completion, you will receive a letter from the UHD Office of Admissions within 4-7 business days regarding the status of your application.
