Eligibility Requirements

  • A 3.25 cumulative undergraduate UHD G.P.A.
  • Underrepresented minority status
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency
  • Participation in the Biomedical Laboratory Science Course
  • An essay expressing an interest in completing a doctoral program in the biomedical sciences

Students must be either a sophomore or junior to be eligible to apply. Juniors within the program who maintain the required 3.25 GPA and qualified status within the program may be promoted to Senior MARC Scholars Status. If a senior position should become available due to attrition of a Junior Scholar, applications would be accepted for the open senior position(s), but eligibility for an open position would require undergraduate research experience in the biomedical sciences and attendance of GRE prep courses that are currently available from the Scholars Academy.
