To reach sustainability, we must protect environmental quality. Earth Day is celebrated each year on April 22nd, to raise awareness about environmental issues and to stimulate change in personal habits, business activities, and government policy. Houston celebrates Earth Day at the Discovery Green, providing information, access to businesses and organizations that promote sustainable living, and fun and engaging activities. UHD also celebrates Earth Day each year. Biology 1312 students participate in activities and many share their class projects with the UHD community through this campus event.

Christopher Warren and Travis Alford participated in Earth Day activities at UHD. Travis Alford was interviewed by Yolanda Green from Chanel 39.
