The 2003 Science Engineering Fair of Houston organizing efforts are underway. Fair dates are March 27-29, 2003, in the Reliant Arena. Judging takes place on Friday, March 28 and the awards ceremony is Saturday, March 29. We hope that you and your organization will again participate in this major educational activity.

We encourage you to recognize individual students in each of the three divisions: Junior/Middle School Division (Grades 7 & 8), Ninth Grade Division and Senior Division (Grades 10, 11, 12). Team projects will also be exhibited in the Junior/Middle School and Ninth Grade Division. Please also consider making awards to these teams.

To acknowledge your participation, please complete the on-line letter of intent no later than March 7. If you miss this date, you can still participate; however, we may not have time to include your organization's name in the Fair's official program at the awards ceremony.

This year marks the Fair's 43rd year as a non-profit organization devoted to the enhancement of math and science education in junior and senior high schools. During the past 43 years, thousands of area students have benefited from our Fairs and we plan to be of greater service in the years to come. Our students need and deserve this kind of support and we invite you to get involved with these future scientists and engineers. Since no public funds are available for this activity, we rely on your financial support to continue this service. About 90% of our operating costs are paid with donations from area businesses, industries, professional societies, and foundations. Please consider making a financial contribution to assist with our operating expenses. Without such support the students would not receive the recognition and encouragement this fair provides.
