How to Apply
ATTENTION APPLICANTS!
LISTED BELOW ARE TIPS/REMINDERS TO HELP YOU SUBMIT A SUCCESSFUL APPLICATION PACKET.
Application:
- All Applications must be submitted online.
- Answer all questions with a red asterisk"*" on the application.
- Sign the application.
- Have your parents/guardians initial where required and sign the application.
Houston PREP Dates:
- June 11, 2012 to July 20, 2012
Essay (Required of 1st year applicants only):
- Your essay will be evaluated to determine your character, willingness to learn, and motivation to attend PREP.
- Type your 250 word essay clearly and in your own words on why you want to attend PREP. Also, briefly describe any awards or honors received for participation in math and science activities.
- Must be submitted by mail.
Report Card:
- Be sure to attach a copy of latest semester grade report.
- No progress reports will be accepted.
- Must be submitted by mail.
Nomination Forms (Required of 1st year applicants only):
- One nomination form must be from your mathematics teacher.
- One nomination form must be from your science teacher, English teacher, or counselor.
- Both nomination forms must be submitted at the same time that you submit your application.
- Must be submitted by mail.
Application Deadlines:
- Applications must be received no later than April 30, 2012.
- Late applications will be accepted if openings are still available.

Important! - Make a copy of your completed application packet for your records. Incomplete and late applications will not be considered in the first round of acceptance.
