Students took daily quizzes, practiced mathematical concepts, worked on vocabulary words, and practiced reading comprehension. Several timed SAT were administered. All students felt both that the seminars were useful, and made them more confident about taking the SAT in the near future.

  • Houston PREP is one of 28 sites of the state-wide TexPREP Program. The 1996 TexPREP follow up survey of former PREP Scholars showed a 99.9% high school graduation rate. The Survey Results showed 91% are college students or graduates; 57% of the graduates are engineering or science majors; 75% of the college students are minorities.
