CI-Day @ UHD, November 5, 2008
On November 5, 2008, Dr. Linda Hayden, Director of the Center of Excellence in Remote Sensing Education and Research (CERSER) presented "CyberInfrastructure, Remote Sensing, Collaboration and the PolarGrid" at the Cyberinfrastructure Day @ The University of Houston Downtown (UHD). Her presentation can be found at http://nia.ecsu.edu/ppt/ecsu-ciday-uhd.ppt.
CI-Days is sponsored by the NSF Minority Serving Institutions - CyberInfrastructure Empowerment Coalition (MSI-CIEC), a virtual organization that seeks to accelerate the development of a CI-related science and engineering workforce and broaden access particularly among traditionally underrepresented minority populations. "Cyberinfrastructure" describes research settings that support data acquisition, data storage, data management, data integration, data mining, data visualization and other computing and information processing services over the Internet.
