GRE Information
You are required to take the GRE General and the GRE Writing Assessment before being admitted to the Master of Arts in Teaching program. Contact the University of Houston Downtown's Testing Services for information. You should have an official copy of your GRE scores sent to the Office of Graduate Admissions. Scores are valid only for tests taken within the last five years. To have your GRE scores reported to UHD
(both an undergraduate and graduate institution, the code is 6922 (found in the GRE booklet) should be used. You may register for the GRE on-line at http://www.GRE.org.
Students may arrange to take the GRE at the University of Houston – Main Campus located off Cullen Blvd in Houston.
The Testing Center is located on the 2nd floor of the Student Service Center Building (Room 204) of UH-Main Campus. The testing center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
