Scholarships and Financial Aid Information
In order to assist you with locating financial aid, we are supplying the following information. Since this is not a complete list of possible resources, we suggest that you consult the UHD Financial Aid Office.
UHD Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. This web site is full of important information. If you need to apply for Financial Aid, be sure to read Applying for Financial Aid before you start the process.
The Gordon and Mary Cain Graduate Student Scholarship is awarded to all students who are accepted into the Masters of Art in Teaching (MAT) Program at the University of Houston-Downtown. This scholarship is designed to assist those who are interested in expanding and enhancing their professionalism and in teaching in urban schools.
The Gordon and Mary Cain Student Teacher Scholarship is a competitive scholarship for students who will be enrolling in Block III and student teaching in the upcoming semester.
The Tenneco Teacher Education Scholarship is for graduates of Jefferson Davis High School.
The Tenneco Teacher Education Scholarship Reapplication Form should be used by students who wish to receive the scholarship in subsequent semesters following their initial application.
