The Master of Security Management for Executives (MSME) is an innovative program developed in collaboration with leaders in security management. Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice
The Department of Criminal Justice offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a major in Criminal Justice. The course work associated with the degree prepares the student not only with a basic understanding of the criminal justice system, but also with strong communication and analytical skills. Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences
The BAAS in Criminal Justice provides a seamless transfer from community colleges for AAS graduates. Most AAS students are practitioners with established careers in criminal justice agencies who are seeking to advance themselves in their careers with degrees in higher education. Master of Science in Criminal Justice

Criminal Justice Training Center
The Criminal Justice Training Center provides training and educational opportunities outside of the academic curriculum. The programming offered by the Training Center includes programs in basic peace officer training, various continuing education courses, and review courses for state licensing for Texas peace officers.
Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCLEOSE)
This course will consist of approximately 1300 multiple choice questions. These questions will be given in 5 specific blocks. Block one consists of questions pertaining to Texas Transportation Code, Block two pertains to Texas Penal Code, Block three pertains to Code of Criminal Procedure, and Blocks 4 & 5 are a complete General Review. On completion the individual will compare answers with the answer key located at the Commerce Building, C-112. Click here for more information.

Bachelor of Arts in Interdiciplinary Studies (Professional Development Sequence)
Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certification
Our program is composed of three phases: pre-internship candidacy, securing employment, and a one-year internship in a public school. The pre-internship candidacy includes university coursework which requires six hours per week of field work in schools. Participants in the program secure their own teaching job for their internship. During the internship year, the intern is a teacher of record, takes a minimum of one university course, attends university seminars, and prepares and takes the appropriate TExES exams. Master of Arts in Teaching
This program consists of 39 hours and may be completed in two years. Curriculum within the program is focused on education and inquiry in urban school sites. Students in the Masters of Arts in Teaching Program have the option of conducting and writing about a research study, writing a position paper, or writing a grant as a final project in the program.
