Social Work Pilot Project Recognized by National Organization
Several years ago, the Network of Behavioral Health Providers, with the help of UHD’s Social Work Program, started The Pathways Project, a major initiative in workforce development that developed a curriculum on careers in behavioral health for high school health academies and formed partnerships with schools of nursing to increase the number of students choosing psychiatric nursing. Judge Speaks at UHD about Mental Illness in Criminal Justice System
The judge will discuss the newly funded Felony Mental Health Court for Adults and will be honored by UHD’s social work program for her commitment to justice for adults with mental illness in the criminal justice system. Read More.

New Honor Society Members
Three UHD BSW students, LaToya Carter, Lindsay McCallum, and Katherine Little, were inducted in Tau Sigma National Honor Society in May 2011. The national honor society recognizes transfer students for their outstanding academic achievements.
