Political Science
Welcome to the University of Houston Downtown Department of Social Science Political Science Web 
Page! The role of this web site is to help University of Houston-Downtown
students and alumni make informed decisions about their studies and
career opportunities in Political Science.
The political science program at the University of Houston-Downtown consists
of 7 full-time faculty and one visiting assistant professor and several
adjunct faculty. Our faculty covers a wide subject and geographical
areas serving the education needs of the
political science majors and the entire UHD student community. We
currently offer a B.S. in Political Science
and several different minors. We offer minors in political science,
International Relations, and in Public Policy and Administration. We
also offer studies in pre-law.
