Organization Description
Mona Mentors Community Agency is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation that provides community outreach, family support services, crisis counseling, behavior treatment and psycho- educational services to Children's Protective Services (CPS) clients, Juveniles, and Families At Risk. In addition to, providing to support the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services Children's Protective Services (CPS) Division to help connect families to resources, medical services, mental health counseling, and education services in their community of origin.

Description of Internship
The Student Interns will work alongside of our Crisis Counselors and Group Facilitators to obtain pertinent clinical skills that are essential for facilitating psycho-educational and cognitive behavior skills groups. Student Interns will also assist our Crisis Intervention Team with providing adequate crisis intervention services to individuals and families that are involved with CPS and experience incidental crisis situations.

Criteria for Interns

Job Responsible to the Lead Group Facilitator and clinically supervised by our Program Director.

Time Commitment
In order to obtain adequate experience and skills in the mental health field, the intern commitment must include at least two days per week for a minimum of 4 hours each day for a minimum of eight weeks.
