Organization Description
Catholic Charities is a non-profit organization providing community services and programs to families and individuals throughout the greater Houston area, without regard to race, religion, or ethnic background.
Description of Internship
Interns can choose between several programs:
- Working with Seniors (recommended)
- Working with Adults
- Working with Children
Criteria for Interns
Interns are required to send a resume and a cover letter outlining which program they are interested in to Ms. Zarate. The resume will be sent to the appropriate department, and an interview will be set up if appropriate. A volunteer application will also be required.
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston will conduct a criminal background and reference check.
Every volunteer that works with children for an extended period of time is required to attend the
VIRTUS training within three months of placement.
