Teaching and Research Interests:
Frequently Taught Courses:
“I enjoy teaching both online and face-to-face.”
Topics of Research Interest:
“These topics show up in various guises in my courses. I tend to write about the things that I have taught or would like to teach. For example, my most recently published article, “Creating Marketing Slides for Engineering Presentations,” has roots in the visual design theory course, the instructional design course, and my years in sales.”
Educational Background:
Professional Background Outside of Academia:
“My experience includes nearly 13 years selling securities and writing and editing sales training material. I continue to serve as a consultant to corporations on writing and presentation skills and as a technical editor. My thirteen year stint in the corporate world and continuing work as a consultant has contributed mightily to my ability to offer useful insights to students.”
