The English Department proudly announces the 20th anniversary of the awarding of the first B.S. in Professional Writing.

From 1986, when six undergraduates received their degrees, through Fall 2005, 513 students have earned the B.S. in Professional Writing. Today, the PW undergraduate program boasts 44 active majors. In 2005, UHD launched the M.S. in Professional Writing and Technical Communication with an initial class of 12 students. As of Spring 2006, the M.S. program serves 25 majors and will award its first three degrees.

Current undergraduate and graduate courses are offered by 14 full-time Professional Writing faculty members.
