Commencement
Candidates for graduation must have an official application for graduation on file with CHSS Advising Center. For information on how to apply click here.

Deadlines for CHSS majors' applications for graduation can be found on the academic calendar for a given term under the Graduation Application Dates section.
Note: The deadlines for students planning to complete requirements in a Winter or May term would be the same as for a student planning to complete in a Fall or Spring term respectively.
Students receive an email in their gatormail account from the CHSS Advising Center two to three weeks after their advisors submit their applications for graduation.
Commencement ceremonies take place in December and May. Summer graduates participate in the December commencement ceremonies. Winter graduates may participate in the May commencement ceremonies.
Commencement information will be sent to your gatormail address: check with the CHSS Advising Center for dates.

Keep in mind that there are 3 major parts to having a successful commencement experience:
- 1) Check and re-check your name outside of the CHSS Advising Center S-1001
- a. These lists are constantly being updated: make sure your name is listed as both a candidate and a commencement participant.
- 2) Make sure you have paid your mandatory Graduation Fee
- a. The $50 fee is mandatory and required for commencement participation.
