The University of Houston-Downtown College of Humanities and Social Sciences offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in humanities, social sciences, and in interdisciplinary studies. Through its three departments, Arts and Humanities, English, and Social Sciences, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences offers undergraduate and graduate degrees.
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences currently holds planning authority, granted by the Texas Coordinating Board for Higher Education, to develop a master’s degree in Liberal Arts/Liberal Studies, plans for which will begin in the coming year. In addition, the College will seek expanded authority to plan over the next four years for additional degree programs, including a B.A. in Art History, a B.F.A. in Drama, and a master’s in Social Sciences.
