Travel Package

With a UHD Study Abroad Scholarship, the cost for student travelers is only $1,995!

All travel packages include: round-trip airfare (Houston to Taiwan to Houston); transfers to/from airport and transportation points; high-speed rail tickets (Taipei-Tainan-Taipei); hotel accommodations for each night in Taiwan; entrance into the National Palace Museum and the Sheng Ye Museum of Formosan Aborigines; transportation to/from Shilin Night Market and Wulai Aboriginal Village; full breakfast every day; three 7-course dinners; tips for servers, drivers, and guides; an administrative fee; and course-specific costs.

The price varies according to your status, the number of people in your hotel room, and whether or not you receive a UHD Study Abroad Scholarship. You do not need to find your own roommate. If you have a preferred roommate, write his or her name in the space provided on the contract. You can find the contracts for both student and non-student travelers here. A deposit of $200 is needed to enroll in the program. Please note that this deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Payment

All travelers must pay in full by October 10, 2012.

Refund Policy

If the classes are cancelled, the initial $200 payment will be refunded.

If you drop out of the program after the fall semester begins, you will lose 100% of your money.

Scholarships

Students who meet the basic requirements can expect to have approximately 1/3 of their trip paid by the UHD Study Abroad Scholarship.

UHD Study Abroad Scholarship requirements are:

Successful completion of 30 semester credit hours, 12 completed at UHD

2.5 grade point average

Meet the prerequisites for the course in which you are enrolled
