UHD Trip to Paris and Venice

TRAVEL TO PARIS AND VENICE AND EARN UHD COURSE CREDITS!
The CHSS Summer Abroad Program provides exciting learning opportunities by combining UHD courses with travel and study abroad—in Paris and Venice. For 2012, three courses are available in this program, so that students call select the course(s) best suited to their interests.
The classes are:
- ART 3303/HUM 3308 History of Renaissance Art l
Dr. Azar Rejaie - COMM 4390: Public Memory and Rhetorical Criticism
Dr. Diana Bowen - ENG 3309 Introduction to Creative Writing—The Art of Travel
Dr. Jane Creighton
The classes meet for one evening class session each week during spring semester, with the kinds of reading, tests, essays and other assignments found in regular courses.
In May, after the final exams but before the first summer term, the classes travel to Paris and Venice. On the trip, students conduct and present research, visit locations that they have studied, and incorporate the travel experiences into the context of their classes. Students will spend 7 nights in Paris and travel by plane (Air France) to spend another 4 nights in Venice.
