Theatre Scholarships
Rockwell Theatre Scholarship
Begun in 1989 through the generosity of Houston's Rockwell Fund, Inc. and the late Mr. Joe M. Green, Jr., this scholarship is awarded each semester to one or two deserving students who actively participate in the school's theatre program. Each scholarship awarded is $1,000.00. Scholarship recipients are determined by the Theatre Scholarship Committee.
Charles and Betti Saunders Theatre Scholarship
Begun in 2004 out of a sincere admiration for the University of Houston-Downtown theatre students and program, this scholarship is awarded each semester to one or two deserving students who actively participate in the school's theatre program. Each scholarship awarded is $750.00. Scholarship recipients are determined by the Theatre Scholarship Committee.
Bill and Ann Stokes Theatre Scholarship
Begun in 1996 through the generosity of Mr. William N. Stokes, Jr. and in honor of his late wife, Texas actress Ann Bradshaw, this scholarship is awarded each semester to four to six deserving students who actively participate in the school's theatre program. Each scholarship awarded is $400.00. Scholarship recipients are determined by the Theatre Scholarship Committee.
