The O'Kane Theatre is part of the Department of Arts & Humanities and has been a part of the University of Houston-Downtown for over thirty-five years. Students, faculty, staff and alumni have enjoyed participation from performing on stage to working backstage.

Recent productions of the theatre have included: Ain't Misbehavin', Tartuffe, Antigone, Our Town, The Mousetrap, Romeo & Juliet, MacBeth, Oedipus The King, Plaza Suite, A Few Good Men, The Little Foxes, Small Craft Warnings, Fences, Steel Magnolias, and Ghosts.

The O'Kane Theatre, located in the main building of the UHD campus, provides its patrons with an intimate environment, suitable for a more involving theatre experience. This intimacy gives the audience member a feeling of up close and personal with the action on stage.

For more information about other theatre opportunities at UH-Downtown, please visit the Theatre homepage.
