Photograph of Fall 2008 Production of "Antigone" The O'Kane Theatre is part of the Department of Arts & Humanities and has been a part of University of Houston-Downtown for over thirty years. Students, faculty, staff and alumni have enjoyed participation from performing on stage to working back

Recent productions of the theatre have included: The Mousetrap, Romeo & Juliet, MacBeth, Oedipus The King, Plaza Suite, A Few Good Men, The Little Foxes, Small Craft Warnings,
Fences
, Steel Magnolias, and Ghosts.

The O'Kane Theatre, located in the Main building of the UHD campus, provides its patrons with an intimate environment, suitable for a more involving theatre experience. This intimacy gives the audience member a feeling of up close and personal with the action on stage.
