The College of Business invites UHD business students to the 4th MEET THE INDUSTRY event from 8:30 a.m.to 3 p.m. Friday, Feb 15 at the College of Business, Shea St. Building, 320 N. Main. The event will introduce students to a variety of industries and careers pertaining to students majoring in but not limited to Finance, Business, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Supply Chain, Accounting, Insurance & Risk Management, International Business, Management, and Marketing.
The College of Business is delighted to welcome Houston City Controller Ronald Green, Federal Reserve Bank Business Economist Jesse Thompson, WalMart Market Manager Nick Scribner and entrepreneur and CEO Charlie Wilson,Salvex as our Keynote panelists. They will discuss the job forecast for Houston and the opportunities in the retail management, finance and entrepreneurial sectors.
Niche panels focus on the career paths and growth trends in specific industries. Our morning niche panels includes a return of the highly popular Federal Reserve Bank panel whose speakers will discuss careers in accounting, business, CIS, finance, HR and security. The College of Business’ Retail Management and Insurance and Risk Management program directors will moderate panels introducing students to the rewarding and challenging careers available in this field.

Registration and cost.
There is a $15 attendance fee and ends 2/8/2013 at midnight. Students are not required to attend all the sessions. However, please note that lunch catered by Maggianos is included in the registration fee. No phone, email or walk-in registrations are accepted. Registration is non-refundable.
