The Department of Finance, Accounting, and Computer Information Systems

The FACIS Department at the University of Houston Downtown prepares its students to compete effectively and successfully in a professional capacity. The department offers a quality undergraduate program with faculty known for their outstanding instruction and scholarly research.

Additionally, our professors maintain close ties to the Houston business community. These relationships assist our students in obtaining job interviews and often result in employment opportunities. They also provide a networking base upon which the students may begin to build and manage their careers.

The department offers a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with major programs in Accounting, Finance, CIS and International Business. UHD students may also earn minors in Accounting, CIS, Economics, Finance, and International Business.
