Mr.
Emerson is currently President of Starlight Capital, Inc.
(www.starlightcapital.com),
an investment bank based in Houston, which is focused on early-stage
private placements in the US and Mexico. Starlight has approximately
twenty investment professionals with offices in six U.S. states.
He is an NASD-registered broker with extensive financial,
marketing and project management experience in a variety of
international high- and low-technology industries. He has
developed a nation-wide network of Private Equity conferences,
at which scores of companies have presented their value proposition
to hundreds of individual and institutional investors. He
is also an entrepreneur, having started and operated companies
for over twenty years, of which ten years were spent in the
telecommunications field throughout Latin America, and an
accredited investor. He is fluent in Spanish and has grammatical
and conversational skills in French, Portuguese and Japanese.
Mr. Emerson, a native Houstonian, received his B.A. with Honors
in Spanish and Economics from Hamilton College in New York
and his M.B.A. from the Jones School of Administration at
Rice University. He holds the following securities licenses:
7, 63, 24 and 27.
Mr. Emerson’s professional and community
involvement includes active roles as member of the NASD District
6 Committee, NASD National Technology Steering Committee,
Rice Alliance Roundtable Advisory Board, and The Coronado
Club, past-president of the board of Houston Achievement Place,
past-president of the Jones School Alumni Association at Rice
University, associate member of the Silver Fox Advisors, graduate
of the Center for Houston’s Future program, Advisory
Board member of Main Street Theater, and advisory board member
of the business school of the University of Houston Downtown.

Ashley
F. Fields

Ashley
F. Fields is the Director of Organizational & Management
Development and Diversity for BMC Software based in Houston,
Texas. Dr. Fields’ current global responsibilities include
organizational development, management development, succession
planning, people strategy, change management, diversity and
HR communications.
His previous
experience included 22 years in the Energy industry with
Royal Dutch Shell, Reliant Energy, and the Tennessee Valley
Authority. Ashley’s experiences have included internal
consulting services in the areas of Diversity, Organizational
Development, Leadership Development and Strategic Planning.
He also served as the subject matter expert for Mentoring
in Shell. Ashley has served on the faculties of Central
Missouri State University, University of Tennessee –
Chattanooga, and Rice University. In addition, Ashley has
held other leadership positions in government, business,
consulting and not for profit organizations.
Ashley holds
Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Master of Business
Administration and Doctorate of Business Administration
degrees. He has also earned his Diversity Management Certification
from NTL (National Training Labs) and is a Senior Professional
in Human Resources Management (SPHR) from the International
Certification Board of the Society for Human Resources Management.
Ashley resides
in the Houston area with his wife, Sharon, and has two children
in college.
Ashley has published
articles in the areas of organizational engineering, leadership
development and thought diversity.

Bernard
L. Murphy

With over 20 years of extensive experience as a well-known
leader, Mr. Murphy has held a director’s position in
various cities throughout the country. He is currently the
Director of Public Affairs/Special Projects for Fiesta Mart,
Inc. located in Houston, Texas. A former President of Murphy’s
Supermarkets Inc, Mr. Murphy continues to bring forth his
leadership characteristics.
Bernard
holds Master of International Management degree from the American
Graduate School of International Management and a Bachelor
of Science degree which was obtained at Purdue University.
Mr. Murphy also attended the Goethe Institute in Bad Reichenhall,
Germany.

Sixteen years ago Chris Noble recognized the opportunity in
selling and servicing computers. Even though she has no technical
training, Chris created a company that continues to meets
the computer needs of business and individuals in the Houston
market. Her spirit of adventure, passion for working with
customers, creating business and building an organization
of long-term employees has evolved into a successful technology-related
company. Chris is a working owner, whose clients choose her
company because she runs a “tight ship” –
keeping client service on target, on task, and on schedule.
Chris is dedicated to the advancement of women in leadership
roles in business. She has served as President of Federation
of Houston Professional Women and President of the Leadership
Texas Alumnae Association. Chris was selected a Top Woman
in Technology in 2006 by the Association for Women in Computing;
named the 2003 Women Business Owner of the Year, by the National
Association of Women Business Owners; and received the Woman
of Excellence Award in 1998, from the Federation of Houston
Professional Women. She holds a BS and MS from the University
of Houston.
